Can-Am '99

Can-Am '99 was held at Windedge Farm in Ste-Justine-de-Newton in on May 22, 1999.

The event is a cross country carriage driving competition involving several obstacles which test the drivers' skill. Amateur radio operators provide communications assistance by reporting on the position of the carriages during the event and reporting problems so that they can be dealt with quickly and that the safety of the competitors is assured.

Can-Am 2000

The Can-Am 2000 was held at the Windedge Farm in Ste. Justine de Newton, Quebec on May 20, 2000.  Many thanks to those Amateur Radio operators who woke up early in the morning to volunteer their time.    A special thanks goes to Ken Magee, VE2EXC for organizing the Amateur Communications at this event.

Missing was Carole Albert, VA2MOO who was sidelined because of a herniated disc in her neck.    On behalf of all the Amateur Radio Operators at the event, get well soon Carole and we all hope to see you at the events scheduled for later this month and in June.

Can-Am 2001 - Saturday, May 19, 2001

The Can-Am 2001 will be held at the Windedge Farm in Ste. Justine de Newton, Quebec on Saturday, May 19, 2000.   Ken Magee, VE2EXC is looking for about twenty-five radio amateur operators.

The briefing is at 6 A.M. at the main communications tent located near the start/finish line.
