Subject: MAB tower and antenna work

As we previously reported the Montreal Association for the Blind (VE2MAB) Radio Room has moved to a room in the former Penfield Residence.  In July the antennae and tower were taken down and stored and in September a new tower base was installed and the bottom section installed.  On November 3, 6 10 and 13 the tower was re-installed and the antennas remounted and tested.  The VE2MAB station is now ready for the ARRL phone Sweepstakes contest.

Thanks go to Don Dashney, VE3RM, Steven Donovan, VE2OCT, Shawn Englehart, VA3STE, Steven Faguy, VA2SMF, Mac McDougall, VA2YQ, Sheldon Werner, VA2SH, Vernon Ikeda, VE2MBS, Raymond Faguy, VE2SJA, Richard Allix, VE2ARW and Chris Zhao, BA4RE, for their participation in the project.  Thanks also are due to the Concordia Amateur Radio Club for their forbearance when the Nov. 3 worksession ran longer than expected and resulted in the postponement of work scheduled at the Hall Building.  Also I hope that the students of the code class will forgive the schedule re-arrangement and move of the class occasioned by the November 10 work to install the HF beam.

A good job was done by all

73 de Jim.
