Just a reminder of the Montreal Amateur Radio Club Spring 2002 Fleamarket. There are tables still available and if you are intending to come, please see the Fleamarket page at: http://www.marc.qc.ca/fest.html
I have heard from James R. Hay, VE2VE that he has been asked to represent the Montreal Region on the Board of Directors of R.A.Q.I., the organization which promotes Amateur Radio in the Province.
As I understand it, he has expressed an interest in this job and has sent his reply to the President of R.A.Q.I. on this matter.
James will still be President of the Montreal Amateur Radio Club and the VHF-UHF Frequency Coordinator for the Montreal Region.
I have been informed that the Montreal Amateur Radio Club has been asked by organizers of the Lachine Canal committee to help with auxillary commnications on Saturday, May 25, 2002. The reason is the celebration of the opening of Lachine Canal to pleasure craft under the operation of Parks Canada.
The Amateur Community has been asked to provide auxillary communications to link the various other private networks (First Aid, Marine, Organizing Committee and various other groups) together.
