This authority is valid from May 18, to July 18, 2002.
From the RAC Bulletin 02-031E --
On Wednesday, May 22, Don Dashney, VE3RM amd Jim Hay, VE2VE visited the VE2BG repeater site to change out the coaxial resonators (cavities) which has resulted in an improvement in the reception of weak signals and a reduction in some of the false triggering that we have been having over the past little while.
Thanks to Raymond Laviolette, VE2HMA for loaning us the coaxial resonators and to Don for tuning them up.
Please note that VE2BG and VE2RED will be in use on the week-end of June 1st and 2nd as hubs for the Lac Saint Louis Soccer Tournament.
The Canada Day Station will again be set up at Pine Beach Park in Dorval at the Corner of Lakeshore Drive and Pine Beach Blvd.. Set-up commences at 12h30 ET (16h30 Z) and we should be on the air at 15h00 ET (19h00 Z) until 22h00 July 1st (02h00 July 2nd).
We should be on the air from 10 to 80 metres and on various 2 metre repeaters locally.
Stay tuned for more information.
