Subject: VE3CT new QCWA President

  For the first time in the history of the Quarter Century Wireless Association (QCWA), founded in 1947, a Canadian radio amateur has been elected as its president.  Croft Taylor VE3CT, who previously served as vice president, assumed office for a two year term on September 1, 2002.

  Croft received his amateur radio licence in 1950.  He served in the military and retired as a Lieutenant Colonel and as well, was employed and now retired with Bell System Canada.  He is a former president of the QCWA National Capital Chapter 70 and resides in Ottawa with his wife Elizabeth.
