RAQI Communiqué 2001-07
.I have already discussed this but I wish to repeat it for the benefit of those who are not up to date.
Back in the spring of 2000, the repeater co-ordinator advised me that he would be giving up his post as co-ordinator. It was very difficult to find someone to replace him, so I took a new approach to keep the process functioning.
The RAQI Board of Directors decided to form a co-ordination committee composed of current repeater trustees in Quebec. Mario Bilodeau, VE2EKL, accepted the job of provincial co-ordinator of the committee and has been named to the RAQI Board of Directors in this capacity. The committee has the wholehearted support of Industry Canada who have advised of their intention to participate in the formation meeting of the committee.
RAQI Invites all Repeater trustees in Quebec to a founding meeting of the Quebec Frequency Co-ordination Committee to be held at The Hotel Le Dauphin, located at 600 Boul. St-Joseph in Drummondville, Quebec on Saturday, Sepetmber 8, 2001 at 9:30 AM.
At this meeting the first frequency co-ordination committee will be formed by election of representatives of the repeater trustees and the committee will be given its first mandate.
For all concerned, It is very important that you attend this meeting.
Mario and I await the trustees in Drummondville on September 8th.
